Requesting and confirming

A request is not a booking. Nothing is confirmed until Andy says yes. New dogs come for a meet-and-greet first, no exceptions, so we know everyone will get on.

When you request a stay you save a card with Stripe. Nothing is charged at that point. If we approve, we charge half the total then. The other half is charged the day before the stay begins.

Prices

Day care is £[DAY] a day. Home boarding is £[NIGHT] a night, or £[SUMMER] a night from 1 June to 31 August and from 20 December to 3 January. The price you're quoted when we approve is the price you pay, even if our prices change afterwards.

Cancelling

If you cancel [14 DAYS] or more before the stay, we refund everything you've paid. Between [7 AND 13 DAYS] before, we refund half. Within [7 DAYS], we can't refund, because by then we've turned other dogs away.

If we have to cancel, for instance because of illness in the house, we refund everything in full, and we'll help you find somewhere else if we can.

Your dog

Vaccinations must be up to date, including kennel cough, and flea and worm treatment current. We'll ask to see proof before the first stay. Please tell us about anything your dog is scared of, any medication, and how they are with other dogs.

Dogs live in our house with us and with up to three other guests. If a dog turns out not to be happy here, we'll call you and ask you to collect them, and we'll refund the unused days.

Swimming and the outdoors

We walk every day and swim at the mere when the weather allows. By booking you're saying that's fine for your dog. Tell us if it isn't and we'll keep them on the lead near water.

If something goes wrong

If your dog needs a vet while they're with us, we'll call you first unless it's an emergency, in which case we'll act and call you straight after. Vet costs are yours to cover. We are insured; details on request.
